Dr. Sharad Bajpai is a highly respected ophthalmologist with over 38 years of experience in eye care and ophthalmic surgery. As the founder of Kanika Hospital, he has dedicated his professional journey to advancing quality eye care and making trusted ophthalmic services accessible to patients.
With extensive clinical experience in cataract surgery, glaucoma, paediatric ophthalmology and ocular trauma, Dr. Bajpai brings a comprehensive and patient-centred approach to every case. His commitment to clinical excellence, ethical practice and compassionate care has helped establish Kanika Hospital as a trusted name in ophthalmology.
He began his career in community eye care under the guidance of Padma Shri Dr. J.M. Pahwa — a calling that has taken him to eye camps across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and as far as Dakar, Senegal.

- Invited to Dakar, Senegal in 2014 — 870+ free cataract surgeries at the Army Hospital with his team
- Morena, Madhya Pradesh (with IFFCO): 12,650 patients examined and 3,250 cataract operations in 2021–22
